Product Description The Isley Brothers kicked off their fourth decade with this Platinum, #1 album originally issued in 1980. Previously unreleased on CD in the U.S., Go 'All The Way' is highlighted by #1 hit ballad "Don't Say Goodnight (It's Time For Love)" and finds The Isley Brothers embracing new technology while fortifying their proven strengths. Go 'All The Way' features a half dozen extended fan favorites and chart hits (including "Here We Go Again" and the title track) that have not previously been heard in pristine digital sound. One of their most melodic albums, all was not quite as harmonious behind the scenes for the 3+3 lineup at this point, as revealed in former Isley Brothers songwriter/keyboardist Chris Jasper's enlightening liner notes. Jasper rates 'Go All The Way' as one of his favorite Isley Brothers albums, and millions of Isley fans agree.

Go All the Way- Isley's last great album together December 27, 2008 K. A. Lucas 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Glad this album finally came out on CD. Have it on vinyl. Only weak song is "Belly Dancer". "Here we go" and "Don't say goodnight" are classics. Last great album with all 6 Isleys/Jasper/Isleys together.
Let's Go All The Way, for real this time! December 12, 2008 Terrence D. Hillman (Colorado, USA) This was one of my favorite albums by The Isley's, and moreso now because it's been remastered and sounds better than ever! Iconoclassic and Sony/BMG have knocked this one out of the park and the ball is still in the air! This one will kill the bootlegs and vinyl-recorded CDs that have been made previously, so if you don't have this version get it NOW!!! If I could rate the efforts of the labels alone, I would say a 5 star. The rating of the album itself, in my opinion, is a 4 star because of its last song. I've never liked "The Belly Dancer" because, lyrically, it seems to lack effort unlike the rest of the album. If this album didn't have that filler song, it would have been much stronger just letting it end with "Don't Say Goodnight," the album's best song. Not much more I would have to say about the album, except I wish I could had it on CD sooner. Better late than never, point blank. I look forward to getting more from Iconoclassic Records because they did a fantastic job with this and another Isley classic, "Showdown." The additional notes from Brother Chris and the background about Go All The Way with lyrics are included. The packaging is rather nice and it makes this new label trustworthy to Me, plus they stuck with the price of the Nice Price collection usually issued by Sony/BMG. Hey, maybe they can get in touch with The Reddings and please make their collection available. I can't wait to see what they come up with next on their soul choice, hmmmm...
Not a classic 3+3 album, but still very good November 13, 2008 Michael O. Johnson (Shelby, NC) While it falls short of the exemplary standards set by the 3+3 era's first six albums, "Go All the Way" more than matches up with their other albums. The lead single "Don't Say Goodnight (It's Time for Love)" is a steamy let's-go-the-bedroom ballad, one of the best the brothers Isley recorded, IMO. The midtempo "Here We Go Again" is one of my favorite songs from the 3+3 era, with Ronald Isley's calm voice melding well with the song's polished production. The rest of the album has the familiar silky-guitar-laden funk, but with a smoother, more danceable arrangement. Ronald Isley's vocals are more restrained and Ernie Isley has only one guitar solo, on the mellow "Say You Will." "Say You Will" and the dance-oriented "Pass It On" are the other highlights on an album that was a good rebound from the (IMO) disappointing "Winner Takes All."
Bring it on back......... November 5, 2007 Pretty One (Oxon Hill, MD) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I absolutley have to agree with the previous reviewer.....I too have this musical masterpiece on cassette tape and it is worn to the bone. It breaks my heart that it is unavailable on any other audio format (CD, MP3, etc.) I am advocating that it will be re-released in the very near future for my and other people's listening pleasure. The Isley's are my favorite group and nothing would make me happier than to hear "Here We Go Again" over and over again.....as many times as I want.
"Here We Go Again"! June 14, 2007 Kraig King (Memphis Tennesse) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
"Here We Go Again"!I have this on tape but not on disc...it's a shame(The Spinners?!)that with all the great songs on this album,it's still not avaliable on CD!"Here We Go Again"! was one of the Isley guyz biggest hits(and one of my favorite songs of all time....and this song is Not on Any other recording but "Go All the Way"!Not even all the 20 odd greatest hits cd's listed right here on Amazon(go ahead---look'em up)!If ANYONE(and I mean ANYONE!) at Amazon or in the Isley's or the record company reads this-- hear this.....PLEASE release ether "Go All the Way" or "Here We Go Again" on cd or at least on I-Tunes or other music sites!!PLEASE!!!
