4 out of 5 stars Highly recommend for camera flash use   September 8, 2008

I picked up a few 4-packs of these before photographing an evening outdoor wedding and was highly pleased with them. They came pre-charged, and each set of 4 batteries lasted me a couple hundred flash uses in a Canon 580 EXII flash, set on high power. Just as good as a Duracell, but I can recharge these and use them again next week.

Great batteries. I use these in my kids RC toys and also in my Canon digital camera. In my opinion, these batteries are the best on the market that I've tried. I read the reviews here on Amazon before I bought the charging pack bundle and then followed up about three months later by buying this 4 pack of AA batteries. I highly recommend these to anyone that is looking for a great rechargeable battery.

5 out of 5 stars Good product. Works great in my Canon S5 IS.   September 5, 2008

I bought this product specifically to use in my Canon S5 IS digital camera. Before I bought Eneloops, I used regular 2500 mAh NiMh Sanyo AA rechargeables. While regular rechargeables were great at delivering power, they were not so great at storing it. And I can't count how many times I'd pick up the camera a week or two after putting freshly charged regular rechargeables and discover that the batteries were dead.

About 1 1/2 month ago I put a set of 4 Eneloop AA into the camera and have taken hundreds of pictures and I have not seen the "battery low" indicator light up yet.

5 out of 5 stars Just went up $5 in a couple months   September 4, 2008

At $15 for a 4-pack it's a good deal.
If it ever goes back to $10/4pack, buy em all, stock up, give em away!

I'm never going back again to those old crappy batteries! I bought these as an alternative to the Xbox 360 controller charge kit, and have no regrets. Now I put them in everything I can...that I think I can get the batteries back from! The biggest issue is losing them.

Why bother buying alkaline? The hype is true enough. Time to move.

5 out of 5 stars These are simply Amazing!   September 3, 2008

I have been using NiCD / NiMH rechargeable cells for many years now. Till now I always had to keep a stock of Alkalines for devices such as wall clocks, TV remotes etc. with low current drainage where batteries typcially lasts for 6 - 12 months. The standard NiMH cells do not retain charge for more than a few weeks / months at best, and hence cannot be used for such applications.

Then I discovered the Eneloops - they are simply amazing. Once charged, they last for months and months. Over a period of time I have replaced almost all the Alkaline batteries at home in remotes and clocks with these cells. They work beautifully and I am happy to have done my part in reduced polluting the earth with discharged alakaline cells ...
