Amazon.com To paraphrase the Green Goliath himself, Buena Vista's Incredible Hulk DVD is a smash, providing 83 minutes of exciting sci-fi with enough action to satisfy Hulk novices, and scripting that hews to its Marvel Comics origin to please longtime devotees. The DVD compiles the first four episodes of the 1996-97 animated series, which outline the Hulk's origins, as well as the struggles of his human alter ego, Bruce Banner, to rid himself of the creature. The episodes also make fine use of Marvel's rosters of heroes and villains; in the two-part "Return of the Beast," the Hulk tangles with the Leader, the Gargoyle, and the hideous Abomination, while in "Raw Power," he's up against the malevolent ZZZAX; and in "Helping Hand, Iron Fist," he goes mano-a-mano with Iron Man and War Machine. Terrific performances (TV Hulk Lou Ferrigno provides the creature's voice) and extensive extras make this DVD a must-have for comic and cartoon aficionados. --Paul Gaita

83 minutes is not enough value for the price October 23, 2008 Jared Castle (Roseburg, Oregon United States) 83 minutes in four episodes of the Incredible Hulk's animated series is just not enough value for your dollar. Buy this only if your child absolutely loves the Hulk and is too young to watch the PG-13 rated live action film, The Incredible Hulk, starring Edward Norton. Check my review of that DVD (good movie but absolutely not for little kids). I game a similar review to the first animated DVD from The Spectacular Spider-Man, the new series from the WB. You should get more for your money than 3-4 episodes. In the case of Spider-Man, it looks promising that the entire first series will be released. So far, the Hulk hasn't had the same luck. Also, please avoid the new Avengers animated DVDs. I made the mistake of picking these up without checking the ratings -- they feature the Hulk, but the stories and the language are not for young children. If you're looking for better choices for your little superhero fan, check out my Amazon listmania list, "Batman / Dark Knight entertainment for little boys" and have fun!
OK November 19, 2007 Ruth C. Smith My son was really into the Hulk, so I got this for him. He watched it a few times, but it's not his favorite now. Collecting dust on the shelf.

I should say that I bougth this dvd thinking it was the 1982 series,so I was pretty Pi##ed when I got this stinking pile of hulk.Lou Ferrigno? what a joke! Luke Perry? what a ### .This dvd blows. You don`t get the origin of the hulk ,as is written in other review`s here on amazon. It`s a couple of episodes that are not connected, and the plot, voice acting, and spesial features are worth #### all!!!!
