Wonderful episodes July 13, 2008 Bliggenstrauff Excellent episodes in this dvd, wonderful for the casual fan. These are hilarious, just like the whole series. I heartily recommend this dvd to all earthlings
Great but not the greatest February 8, 2008 A. E. Hyde (Spain/USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I first discovered 3rd Rock while living in Spain. I'd been there for almost twenty years and great American series came piecemeal but also commercial free. The first time this particular gem caught my eye, probably some time during the second season, I was seduced. In Spain it came on Monday through Friday, after siesta time, at 5 pm so it also became somewhat addictive especially when the episodes began to take on something of a story line. While this four piece dvd is delightful, it serves more as a good intro to what is a nearly flawless series with the four best almost impossible to rate. How can you leave out any episode that includes William Shatner, whom I had never thought of, until then, as anything but commanding and dignified. Even more of an anomalie was John Lithgow, who up until this first sighting had always struck me as the classic serious actor with the grace a distinguished theatre career imparts on any actor. Watching Third Rock shinnanigans was sheer joy. So, yes, these are four great pieces. But only if you've never watched at least one season. Buy it if you need convincing. But I would recommend going for an entire season dvd.
Hilarious! April 16, 2007 H. Chandler (Atlanta, GA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Gotta love those aliens! I could not stop laughing. If you are a fan of the series (or have never seen it), this is a great buy. Just enough to give you a taste if you have never watched it or just enough if you are liked me and miss the show.
