The life of acceptance, denail and growth December 28, 2008 Brijender Singh (Alabama, USA) There is a Brian or Justin, in every gay men. The way the characters were projected and their respective growth, helped me to understand the fraternity better. had a lot of sex, but the series made it look easy for lead characters, and difficult for someone like TED. In reality a person , grows through phases, when he felt like Brian, like Ted, like Justin, Michal or the best among the lot "Emit", the series captured the whole gamut of emotions, I loved it, I am glad that something like this exist's, as i am learning to walk the ropes
Amazon is great to work with! December 8, 2008 Iowa Sunshine 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Queer as Folk - The Complete Series - is worth buying. The characters are so different from one another and one gets caught up in wondering what they will experience next. QAF presents the characters and storyline so well that you feel as if you know each one and your feelings/concerns are yanked right into their lives. To clarify the packaging...yes, it is true that the DVD's do come loose easily. The comments made in this opinion section scared me and I questioned whether to order it. I took my chances anyway. My first set was poorly packaged. The discs were loose and scratched; the box was damaged. I contacted Amazon, which made my exhange seamless. I UPS'd (at their cost) my damaged set for a new box set that they packaged extremely well. It arrived in perfect condition. Amazon was an A+ company to work with. I am so happy I took the chance. QAF is now mine to watch and keep to watch again. It was definitely worth it.

Iconic Folk October 6, 2008 M. Azzaro (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I feel the title says it all the show is an Icon for our community in entertainment. It's a one of a kind series that will never be topped. I can remember making sure we were home inorder to watch each episode not only my partner and I doing this but everyone we knew. No matter how you feel about this show I know from my own experience I have known people in my own life that mirror every single character on the show. Well worth buying!
Good series - bad case design. September 14, 2008 danway (Buford, Georgia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This comment is for the box set. The series is great but the case design is crappy. All the dvd's are lose in the set. Every time you open a season the dvd's fall out. Mine wasn't scratched but I can see how that can happen.
