Editorial Reviews:

Description
Tangerine Dream, German-based purveyors of imaginative electronic music, are known for their impressive live reputation. The band continues performing today led by founding member Edgar Froese. This DVD features the 35th anniversary concert where the band celebrated the recording of the landmark album "Phaedra." The concert was performed in front of a sell out audience and featured material from "Phaedra" alongside new material.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars A Retrospective on an Incredible Career   November 15, 2008
Mr. Richard D. Coreno (Berea, Ohio USA)
First, this is not a reunion of the band members who performed on the landmark album that was honored during this nearly three-hour concert on June 11, 2005, at Shephered's Bush Empire, London; it is the TD lineup at the time in what is a fantastic retrospective look at an incredible recording career.

The 26 numbers are performed by Edgar Froese, Jerome Froese, Thorsten Quaesching, Zlatko Perica, Linda Spa and Iris Camaa, with the salute to Phaedra given an update as "Phaedra '05." The viewer is placed in the front row for this special event, with the concert shown in its entirety.

It is an excellent souvenir that shows a band that remains in artistic overdrive, but can make a stop at least for one evening to reflect upon the many miles travelled.
