| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Zach Galligan, the star of the first Gremlins, is back, along with Phoebe Cates, his girlfriend from the first film. They're both working in an ultramodern skyscraper owned by a Donald Trump clone (a hilarious John Glover). Galligan's furry little buddy is captured by a mad scientist, who not only helps it multiply, but invests the nasty, scaly offspring with intelligence and the ability to talk. (Watch for the one that has Tony Randall's voice.) What follows is imaginative mayhem that spoofs old movies, modern television, and the conveniences of postmodern technology. In some ways, the sequel is even more inventive and laughter-inducing than the original. --Marshall Fine

Classic Family Horror Movie December 29, 2008 Gil Wright (Decatur, AL USA) This is a sequel to a beloved family horror classic that lives up to its predecessor in some ways and is a let down in others. It gives the audience a new take on what happened to all the characters from the first film and puts them in New York.
Gremlins 2 December 25, 2008 Mary Kay Gaunt (Buford, GA USA) wonderful movie glad to add to the first movie and the rest of my collection.
Excellent fun! October 29, 2008 Chris Wood (UK) Very very entertaining film with some great gags. The brains gremlin is particularly good. Very funny!
A sequel that wasn't needed but I find ok at best June 14, 2008 THE MAIN MAN (Central Bookin', NY) I'm stuck somewhere in the middle with this one. I don't like it too much but I definitely don't hate it. This sequel is much less darker than its predecessor. The original Gremlins was down right violent at times but still maintained a bit of its comedy nature. Gremlins 2 is all comedy and seems to be more of a parody of itself. In fact, it parodies several things. Some of the characters from the original reprise their roles and I found them to be very welcomed. The story was stale but the movie was still fun due to the gremlins wild antics. I would say this one is more towards kids than the original. Those looking for some serious horror only, shouldn't even bother with this one.
Pretty cute May 9, 2008 NL from NH The kids will enjoy it. I liked the first one better and actually so did my son. He said there wasn't enough of Gizmo in this one.
