Description ZZ Top, the "little ol' band from Texas", has enjoyed enormous success on a global scale since their breakthrough in the early seventies and then their groundbreaking albums in the mid-eighties. Now for the first time one of ZZ Top's legendary live performances has been filmed for simultaneous release on DVD & Blu-ray. The track listing spans their career from early tracks such as "Waitin' For The Bus", "Just Got Paid" and the classic "La Grange", through their eighties blockbusters including "Gimme All Your Lovin'" and "Legs" (complete with furry guitars!) and up to more recent hits like "Pin Cushion". Filmed in their home state of Texas in front of a wildly enthusiastic audience, this DVD & Blu-ray captures ZZ Top at their very best. TRACK LISTING 1) Got Me Under Pressure 2) Waitin' For The Bus 3) Jesus Just Left Chicago 4) I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide 5) Pin Cushion 6) Cheap Sunglasses 7) Pearl Necklace 8) Heard It On The X 9) Just Got Paid 10) Rough Boy 11) Blue Jean Blues 12) Gimme All Your Lovin' 13) Sharp Dressed Man 14) Legs 15) Tube Snake Boogie 16) La Grange 17) Tush BONUS FEATURE Poker Game - Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill & Frank Beard talk through the history of ZZ Top over a game of poker. True Texan Boogie Woogie Band... September 2, 2008 Michael R. Delfin (Houston, Texas USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ok...I am a Houstonian, a Texan, and I can remember ZZ TOP playing at our frat parties in the early seventies. I have been waiting for a ZZ TOP dvd live performance since the FANDANGO tour of '76. This is one great dvd and performance is A+ rated. I hang out at a watering hole in Houston, (which I would never reveal) and Billy Gibbons had been telling us how great this dvd was going to be every time he came in. He was right, their performance was slick and full tilt boogie.
blues rock September 1, 2008 RAYMOND HENRY (INDIANA) Sounds great but vocals are hard to understand. ZZ has a cool blues and rock sound.
great production , great drum sound , performance avg August 31, 2008 Dean R. Doherty (Sydney, N.S.W Australia) PICTURE 10/10 SOUND 8.5/10 the drums are brilliant though . PERFORMANCE 5.7 The dvd is very well done , the camera work is very well done , they perform quite a few songs but they cld have made it hell of a lot better , doubleback , viva las vagas , planet of women , delirous , all cld have been on it . The performance is avg , they r a bit past it , but do have charector , but its not rockin , but they still do a good job. So yes its a very well done dvd , but just not rockin missing a few good songs(just my opinion) , but the crowd luoved the concert The sound was well done not perfect , but gees the drums r fantastic , n beard can still drum , n their voices r still fine . Rock on ZZTOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOUND QUALITY August 30, 2008 mardigras (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The sound quality is really poor... I sent my first copy back hoping it was just defective...but...alas the second one arrived today and it's just as bad... Sound drops dramatically in spots, especially during the vocals. ZZTop is my hometown band and I'm going to keep the DVD in spite of the poor sound.
