It's clear right from the opening episodes of its third season that Farscape has finally developed into a grown-up show. There's a new self-confidence and a new maturity here that's entirely welcome after the often wildly erratic tone of the second season. The production design and high-quality effects work remain true to the show's original quirky style, although both the look and the more adult-themed scripts have become progressively darker.

Season 3 is the year when the Wormhole story arc takes precedence, as the interactions between John Crichton and his nemesis Scorpius become ever more complicated (involving various different clones, real or "neural", of both antagonists). It's also the year that some major characters die, new ones are introduced, and Crichton (well, one version of him anyway) and Aeryn finally consummate their relationship. Moya's crew endures a vertiginous emotional roller-coaster ride when powerful issues of love, loyalty, and sacrifice loom large. They must also face their sternest challenge yet as the series' biggest story arc reaches an explosive climax aboard Scorpius's Command Carrier. Anyone who has not followed Farscape extremely closely from the very beginning of season 1 will be utterly baffled by the convoluted plotting and complex character interactions. But for fans, this is the show's most rewarding year. --Mark Walker

5 out of 5 stars Love it   October 24, 2008

My son and I just love this series. I cant wait to get the rest. We watch them all at one on the weekends and it is a treat that we have it in common so we get to spend the time together.

5 out of 5 stars Another series that canceled too early   September 8, 2008
Tobin L. Wallace
Farscape, is a show that, like the Firefly series, was canceled way too early. Few shows on TV anymore have the imagination, variety, and chemistry as these shows that never get their due appreciation from producers and networks. Shows like Farscape glorify the concepts of determination and the human spirit and would benefit society if they were supported and marketed with a little more passion.

5 out of 5 stars Farscape season 4   March 4, 2008

5 out of 5 stars Truly enjoyable   February 8, 2008
Jeff M. Cheatham (Loveland, Colorado United States)
For those of you who enjoy Farscape, this season was very well thought out, planned, and executed. Each episode keeps you wanting to see the next one, not because they end them with a cliff hanger, but rather because the story is so well told.
Follow the story of Commander Chrichton, a human who was shot through a worm hole to a distant part of the galaxy and meet both old and new characters, as well as say farewell to a couple that we've known and enjoyed watching in this series.
Personally one my my absolute all time favorite series ever!

If you don't like seasons one and two, you must like horses.
