Description On a stage of raw bones and rotten skulls, two bothers prepare to fight. The first is Harara, who wishes to expunge the disgusting infestation known as humanity from Earth. His opponent is Kakugo, joined in harmony with living armor and the people of Earth. Both are masters of Zero Form arts, techniques so deadly that one touch will end the fight.

Smut mixed with gore. Whooppee! PASS... May 13, 2007 Michael Gmirkin (Beaverton, Oregon, USA) I'm sorry, but I simply can't recommend this title. To, frankly, pretty much anyone. I'll give it this much, the art work is good. However, the content isn't. Sorry, but repeatedly watching people vomit up their guts, or have their bodies/heads explode every 5 minutes isn't my idea of a good time... Granted, some animes use this to 'okay' effect, [in moderation] when making a point, like Akira or Puppet Princess. Apocalypse Zero just goes overboard, and in the end really doesn't go anywhere good. The ending doesn't resolve anything. The world is still screwed up, monsters still exist. So what was the point of all this grotesquery? None that I can see... For the price I paid for it (about $8), one probably shouldn't complain. This is one of the few I'd be tempted to ask for my money back on. Just couldn't stand it. Almost turned it off in a few places, fast-forwarded through a few scenes. Not normally a squeamish person. This just seemed like TOO MUCH. DEFINITELY NOT FOR KIDS. EVER. PERIOD. (My opinion; frankly the 16+ label seems low to me for some reason...) Try Puppet Princess, Wrath of Ninja, Samurai - Hunt for the Sword, or Ninja Scroll instead.
Beware of an Apocalyptic disappointment May 13, 2007 R. E. M. Osorno Graphically it's more than ok, meaning by graphic a lot of senses if it's about disguised porn. For those who do not please seeing a guy fighting against a streamlined penis and to follow images that scratch the grotesque, this is not the indicated anime. The argument is very poor, not as much as to be in the level of pure porn, nor as rich as to captivate as a thriller.
Sick, raunchy, well made. January 16, 2006 newmanmonster999 (Berkeley, CA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My brother showed me this. The packaging may lead you to expect a standard action anime, but this is definitely not for children or normal people. It's pretty nasty, and very funny if you have a twisted sense of humor. The hero spends a lot of time battling pervert demons' deadly sex organs, and there is a lot of imaginative gore. The animation is surprisingly good, with strong OTT character designs and lots of interesting angles in the fight scenes. No cheap and lazy animation here. In fact, I don't recall seeing speed lines even once. Overall, it's one of the more well drawn anime I've seen in a while - although I must admit I'm not a huge afficianado. This is definitely one of the classier and cleverer entries in the apocalyptic-gore-porn genre. It's tongue in cheek, but the makers also cared enough to deliver some quality and imagination - showing a little respect to the audience for their disreputable product. Fun for sickos. Just don't expect it to make any real sense.
