Amazon.com Building words is an exciting and empowering experience for young children (and frogs) who have mastered individual letters and their sounds. When young Tad wants to nominate his Dad for a "Best Dad" contest he asks his brother Leap and sister Lily for some help filling out the application. The three young frogs go see Professor Quigley at their Father's Talking Word Factory for a little instruction and get to watch the "Sticky-ick-o-rama" and the "Word Whammer" machines at work. Tad quickly discovers that vowels act as the glue that sticks letters together and then learns to combine individual letter sounds to make three-letter words, use common ending sounds to create rhyming words, and blend letter sounds to make even longer rhyming words. Phonemic awareness, vocabulary building, and rhyming are entertaining and fun thanks to familiar Leap Pad characters, colorful animation, and short songs. An interactive word game challenges young viewers to fill in the missing first letter in a variety of three-letter words. This program is a great next step for graduates of Leap Frog: Talking Letters Factory and children ages 3 to 6. Tami Horiuchi

teaches my granddaughter sounds of words November 19, 2008 Devon L. Wert (USA) I purchased the Leap Frog Letter Factory DVD for my grandduaghter and she loved watching it, even though she was to young to understand what she was learning. When she was 2 years old, she could say her alphabet, recognize the letters and knew the sounds of each letter. She now has the talking words and is enjoying watching this one. We've only had it for a few weeks so I am anxious to see what she learns from this DVD.
Leap Frog Talking Words Factory September 20, 2008 Cheryl D. Moeller (Bloomington IN) Good product as a followup to the letter sound dvd. Not quite as interesting for my grandchild but I think that is a developmental thing. He really loves Letter Factory so I know he will grow into Words Factory.
Stick with it! September 7, 2008 J. Wilson (Kentucky) I purchased this after reading the great reviews on Amazon. My daughter was 21 months old and starting to talk more so I thought this might be an entertaining way to learn. She didn't want anything to do with it the first 2 times I put it in. Now, a month later, she is requesting it! She makes some of the sounds of the letters to tell me that is the DVD she wants to watch. I think this will last a while as far as keeping her entertained as she progresses with her speech, then into spelling. Well done video!
Good September 5, 2008 A. Burge (Illinois) My son (almost 3 yrs) likes this DVD. After watching parts of it a couple times, he was making the letter sounds with them. It seems to hold his attention.
Major Progress in Two Weeks July 27, 2008 Nila E. Sturlin (Loves Park, IL USA) This product is one of the best purchases that I have made for my 3 year-old daughter. Before I purchased Letter Factory, my daughter was struggling with her alphabet. Now after watching the DVD for two weeks she is able to not only recite her alphabet; she also knows which sounds all of the different letters make. I noticed improvement after she watched it the very first time. This educational tool is simply remarkable.
