Amazon.com If you haven't seen the original Dragonheart, never fear--this story doesn't have much to do with it. Geoffrey (Chris Masterson) is a stable boy at a monastery, with dreams of knighthood--dreams that seem out of reach until he discovers a young dragon living in the monastery's dungeon, a scaly but kindly faced fellow named Drake (voiced by Robby Benson). Unfortunately, the king of the realm has fallen under the spell of an evil adviser, who has plans for this dragon. Fortunately, an old Chinese man and his ward--a very attractive girl with a stunning kung-fu kick--have arrived to keep the dragon from harm. The story is straightforward and clearly aimed at a younger audience, with an uncontroversial moral about friendship. The special effects are capable and at times expressive. Dragonheart: A New Beginning is kid-friendly and will probably be kid-appealing. --Bret Fetzer

Terrible March 18, 2007 Lukasz Wojdyla (IL, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Acting plot and everything is so bad that it made me cry... Dragonheart was breathtaking this is......B.S.. worst acting and story i ever saw in a movie
AWFUL February 14, 2006 This deserves -10000000000000000000000000000000000000 stars. It is the worst movie ever made. While the first was a good film that can be recommended to fans of The Mummy, this is some Kiddie Crap (referencing an episode of my favorite TV show) about a punky little dork. They ruined it the same way they ruined Conan the Barbarian, by making a KIDDIE sequel.
needs something more December 29, 2005 DRAGON FREAK (TN) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
i saw this movie at least 6 er 7 times, and i still think it needed more action, hidding, and plotting. as for the would-be-battle at the nearend, the reason for the no blood was that Osrik was trying to trick Drake into giving him his heart.
PIECE OF CRAP! December 4, 2005 N. HAGAN (Lynchburg. VA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Dragonheart did not need a sequel. The story was told. It is over. The first movie peaked therfore, end of franchise. This has bad acting, terrible C.G.I., and stupid story. Stick with the first.
