Amazon.com Meg Ryan emerges bloodied but unbowed from this botched comedy by Lawrence Kasdan (The Big Chill). Ryan plays a woman whose fiancé (Timothy Hutton) leaves her for a Parisian beauty. She jets over to the City of Lights to fight for her man, but an incapacitating fear of flying forces her to seek help from a fellow passenger, a French thief played by Kevin Kline, who then tutors her in the ways of getting her beau back. Kasdan seems incapable of pacing the story, let alone getting a firm grip on its comic tone and intentions. The production sputters and regroups and stalls repeatedly, forcing Ryan, particularly, to find the boundaries of her own screwball performance. --Tom Keogh

Juicy Kiss Steals My Heart October 4, 2008 Karen Szklany Gault (Boston, MA USA) Meg Ryan's goofy antics in "French Kiss" are as delightful to me with the umpteenth viewing as they were when I first saw the movie over ten years ago. The time in which I saw the movie was a tumultuous one and Kate spoke to me as a character. She finds love where she least expects while giving her cheating fiance his comeuppance. Luc is as sweet as he is street-tough, with the heart of an artist. Their final union is gratifying each viewing. I am happy to finally have my own copy to watch many more times.
Fabulously French September 23, 2008 Janina Cranshaw (Stowe, Vermont USA) This is one of the best Meg Ryan movies. I love her the personality she brings out in her character.
French Kiss September 21, 2008 Sandra L. Brown (Tacoma, WA USA) It was a great movie. I recieved it in good time and appeared new. I enjoyed it very much. Maybe I'll watch it again tonight. Highly recommend.
Always good! June 29, 2008 James R. McDonald (South Carolina) My Wife and I have seen this movie about 10 times over the last few years, and it's always been good.
Great Pick June 7, 2008 susan friel (Lansdale, pa United States) This is a great movie for everyone who always wanted to visit France and never had the chance. The chemistry between Meg and Kevin is so great. The effortless way they seem to carry this movie makes us feel we are right there on that train with them. I recommend this movie for people who like a light comedy with a happy ending.
