collection is presented quite pleasingly in a book style case that I feel
anyone would be proud to have on their bookshelf. The disc themselves are
also very attractive and the films have been painstakingly enhanced by

All 14 movies which are in black and white. Are the best in being remastered didn't have a problem watching all the movies. Also Rathbone and Bruce are the best actors to portray Holmes and Watson. Its like the actors are friends in real life. I really really enjoyed watching all the dvd's and also how they explain how they fix orignal recordings of the movies so that we can watch it today. :-)

All 12 Basil Rathbone-Nigel Bruce Sherlock Holmes films are remastered and packaged together with detailed commentaries by Sherlock experts. Somewhat dated but darn good mysteries with some British humor thrown in.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson as portrayed by Basil Rathbone & Nigel Bruce respectively, are the best of many attempts at bringing those characters to life. Yes, Jeremy Brett did an excellent job on television. But, to the world the former were not simply acting, they 'were' the most famous detective and his sidekick. MPI and UCLA Theater did what I consider the very best job of remastering ever done of a movie anywhere, anytime, by anyone! I have owned the set since it was first released. Of course, "Hound Of The Baskervilles" is the epitome of a good detective film. Enjoy all of them. It is a good investment. Papa Larry H
