Editorial Reviews:

The first successful attempt of the ascent of Everest was in 1953. The British team was lead by John Junt but it was Edmund Hillary from New Zealand and Enzing Norgay a Sherpa from Nepal as part of that British Expedition that reached the summit.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Conquest of Everest   July 17, 2008
Raymond Turmelle (Barrington, N.H.)
Highly recommended and an asset to any collection. Being able to accomplish this most arduous climb with the sparse equipment that was in use those days is remarkable. Reproduction of past films and photos are excellent. Often overlooked, the background music greatly adds to the entire production.
