Zombies at Six Flags? June 22, 2010 Kim Watkins (California) I gave this movie a 3 star rating however it should be 3.75 stars. It had some great scenes and some other parts that were so so.
I loved Bill Murray in this movie. It has a great cast and a good story. The film was it was hit and miss overall. However, I would say go see this movie. It provides plenty of laughs. If you like zombies and comedy don't miss this one.
Did the guys from heroes write this script? June 18, 2010 Robert Tarantino (California) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
J.Rossi, I'm with you on this. I kept drawing parallels between this movie and Heroes. The characters actions and motives were confounding (I know, it's a movie!). I couldn't help but think that their destruction of the gift shop was actually depressing. Wanna blow off steam? Blow away a zombie or two. Everyone in the main cast was supposed to be hard-core survivors, right? It was bad enough they trek across the country to go to a theme park, just so a kid could be a kid, but flipping on all the power in the theme park AT NIGHT??? Come on! The other thing; why did everyone insist on killing zombies with guns instead of the big @$$ trucks they were driving? And what the heck was Bill Murray thinking AFTER he got hit with the golf club? I mean seriously, he thought it was a good idea to sneak up on armed zombie killers? And the reaction of Woody after this? I mean, that's when I finally gave up. Couldn't tell if the movie was supposed to be tongue in cheek or dark comedy. Anyway, the best part is the beginning, when we go through the rules. Would not recommend.
Had me laughing from start to finish. June 18, 2010 Doc Beech (Dallas Tx) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
You just have to see this movie to understand what its about. It is just an absolutly hilarious take on horror films. This movie has more humour in it than shawn of the dead. It does have a great story line in it, and the actors do a great job keeping a straight face when you know they want to just be rolling around laughing. Anyone that likes horror comedy needs to see this film.

Such a fun ride! June 15, 2010 Reacher Creature (Rochester) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
First off, I went into this movie expecting not to like it, and thinking it was going to be dumb, and I'm glad to say that I was completely wrong. Zombieland is such a fantastic movie!!
The plot is pretty simple. The world is overrun by Zombies, and as far as we know, there are just a very few people left in it. They just want to get to an amusement park, where they think that it's "zombie free", and they'll be safe. Getting there is a problem, because of, you guessed it, zombies are after them when the zombies see them. Honestly, that's pretty much the plot. I know it sounds simple, and that it can't be make a good movie, but as the old saying goes, simpler is better.
The cast of characters are fantastic! All of them are named for where they are from, or where they are going to. We have Columbus - the nerd, Tallahassee - the bad ass, Wichita - the hot chic, and Wichita's sister, Little Rock. They play off each other and complement each other in a fantastic way. I loved it how they all met, and it wasn't under the best circumstances. At first, it was funny how Wichita and Little Rock kept on screwing over Columbus and Tallahassee. I loved all of them, and Tallahassee was so funny, but also a bad ass at the same time. All of the characters added a lot to the movie, in their own way. A famous person (I don't want to say who) has a really funny cameo in this.
Zombieland works on so many levels. First off, as a comedy - this is one funny movie. I can promise you that you'll be laughing durning it. It has rules on how to survive in Zombieland. Drama - Actually, there are a couple touching parts. I don't want to say how or what happens, b/c I don't want to spoil anything. Horror - Well, no shock there. This one is violent movie. The zombies are munching on people, and it's pretty graphic. This also has a lot of action and suspense in it. Honestly, this movie has something for everyone. Heck, this even has a funny twinkie plot. I mean, how can you not love that movie that involved Twinkies? :O)
I was very surprised on how much I enjoyed Zombieland. I say, go see it, and enjoy the ride, and don't forget the rules if you want to survive Zombieland.
